Power Forward, the neighborhood youth group that meets every Wednesday at HPC, has guest speakers each week from the community to talk about life experiences and offer career direction to our youth ? That’s right. We just don’t eat and play basketball.
Power Forward has a rich history of various speakers from our community. Chancellor Darrell Allison from Fayetteville State, Judge Steve Stokes, Dr. Sonny Kelly from FTCC, County Commissioner Glenn Adams, former Duke basketball player and Fayetteville native Robert Brickey, police officers, educators, business leaders, small business owners, chefs, truck drivers, coaches, etc. have all visited our group.
It’s about making a positive difference in our community and helping to answer the question –
