I hope this message finds you all well and managing this strange time as best as you can. While this has, undoubtedly, been a very difficult time for all of us, it has also been a time when we have seen the best of us shine through. We have seen people step up to support each other, check in on each other, and lift each other up. We have been awed by the front-line workers, including those in our learning center, who put others before themselves and serve our community. Then there are the faithful volunteers, led by Steve Hill, who have ensured that we have been able to continue to provide food for those that are relying on our food pantry, now more than ever. It has certainly been different being 'together' as the church the last few weeks, but it has also been wonderful to see everyone engage in our online worship services and in the videos from Ms. Jen and the devotions and other contents we have been sharing. This time of physical distancing has made me, and I think many of us, realize how connected we are and how much we need each other. The good news in all of this, is that because of Jesus Christ, we can remain connected through the Holy Spirit until we can be physically together again.
Until then, we will continue to gather virtually, as we have been through our daily devotions and our weekly online worship, as well as new ways (Zoom Wednesday night meetings, Zoom Sunday School, and even Zoom Youth Group Chik-Fil-A meetings). And we will continue to look for ways to share the light and love of God with each other, our families, our community, and our world, even now, especially now. Sharing God's Love ~Chip
