Here at Highland, we utilize our assets towards mission-related projects. We are a host site for the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program, where churches from all across the U.S. plan and book week-long stays to help rebuild homes destroyed by natural disasters. We are also a proud partner of the Friendship House. God presented an opportunity to utilize our property for the support and development of special-need, young adults in fellowship with a faith-based community. Our church family strongly believes in supporting, assisting, and encouraging others in our community, especially for those who are in need. We offer a county-wide Food Pantry program, Thanksgiving Meals, Community Outreach support, and contribute towards Interfaith! We also promote youth missions, such as the ASP Project, where volunteers provide servant hands to help rejuvenate homes by the Appalachian Mountains. Mission Programs in 2019 will cost approximately $30k, or 3% of the budget.
Good things come in 3's... and week 3 has been great! Our 2019 pledges currently total $156,224 out of the total goal of $817,000.
