I am writing to to you this morning (for me) from Hong Kong where I will be for the next 8 days as part of my doctorate program. This is my third and final 'fact to face advance' as part of the program, and when I return I will begin work on my dissertation in earnest. I believe that much of what I am learning as I work towards my doctorate will help me grow in faith and as a leader - which will benefit Highland as well. Many of you were able to join us last Sunday for our first “Town Hall” meeting, and I want to say thanks to all that came, and especially to all those that helped make it the great night it was. We came together to consider ways in which we can better communicate our mission – Sharing God’s Love – as well as all of the exciting activities occurring at Highland. It really was a wonderful time of fellowship and it was so powerful to hear the insights and ideas from a wider range of the church membership. We look forward to our second meeting on Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. to discuss how our mission and vision directs and supports our various mission and hospitality activities. I hope to see you there!
Sharing God’s Love, ~Chip
